"Let's Do It Over Again" - Salzburg College revisited We often get emails and comments encouraging us to finally offer some kind of "Let's Do It Over Again" program for our alumni. Coincidentally, I was approached by the SC ICISP representative, Shanon Dickerson, asking us if we might be interested in co-administering an Advent visit to the Salzburg region for a smaller group of students from Carl Sandburg College. I immediately thought that this would be the ideal opportunity to kick off our alumni "Let's Do It Over Again"-Program. This year's trip is called "Christmas in Europe" and will take place Dec. 14-23. The group flight will be out of Chicago to London. The first portion of the trip will take you to Canterbury for two days. From London you will fly on to Munich where Salzburg College will be taking over. We are planning on visiting Munich, Nuremberg, Salzburg and its surroundings. During your stay in Bavaria/Salzburg you will have the opportunity to visit several Christmas markets, re-visit familiar sites, taste your way through the delicious Austro-Bavarian cuisine, and, of course, walk along memory lane. Of course this trip is intended to only mark the beginning. As of 2014 we are planning on offering a "Let's Do It Over Again"-Program with shifting emphasis on a regular basis. Our goal, in the long run, is to create a program that will allow you to brush up on your German skills, participate in a themed workshop, delve into the contemporary Salzburg culture, meet current SC students and revisit your second (alter) home at heart. I feel I have gained a lot of knowledge in my German and in my voice training. I feel very prepared for graduate school.
