Your home university may have a direct affiliation with Salzburg College. In this case you can apply through your Study Abroad Office AND complete the online Salzburg College Application.
An affiliation may also exist through CCIS (College Consortium for International Studies). Please check with your Study Abroad Office. You must also complete the online Salzburg College Application.
If your home university does not have an affiliation with Salzburg College, please contact us directly or apply through the Study Abroad Office at Northern Illinois University. You must also complete the online Salzburg College Application.
Application Deadlines:
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made 1 month or more prior to the official start of a semester, will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made within the month prior to the start of the respective semester will incur a 50% fee. Cancellations made after the start of the respective semester will incur a 100% fee.
Official Semester Dates:
Fall Semester: 1 September-31 December
Spring Semester: 1 January-30 April
Summer Semester: 1 May-31 August
Payment Deadline
Full tuition is due six weeks prior to the start of the respective program. Salzburg College reserves the right to charge a late fee for payments not made in a timly manner or for which no exceptions have been negotiated prior to the payment deadline.

Students wanting to enroll in a degree or certificate program need to apply to Salzburg College AND to Northern Illinois University through the Study Abroad Office at Northern Illinois University.
Student enrolling on the University Preparation, College Preparation or Expat Bridge Programs only apply to Salzburg College.

Upload the acceptance letter from NIU to your Salzburg College application.
Step 4: Course registration - Salzburg College will complete this step for you based on the evaluation of your transcript(s) through NIU.
