Prof. Dr. Marilyn Coles (http://www.eiu.edu/include12/global/profile.php?id=mjcoles) has provided funding to establish the Marilyn Joy Coles Music Study Abroad Scholarship Fund. EIU students majoring in music are encouraged to apply for this scholarship which is awarded annually every Spring for the Summer, Fall and Spring terms.
Thank you very much, Dr. Coles, for not just encouraging students to leave their home turf to academically discover new places, but for truly embracing the spirit of studying abroad!
I did not really know what to expect coming into this program, but I learned a great deal here. All the faculty I worked with are amazing. The quality of instruction was very good and I really enjoyed all the supplementary cultural information.
